Studio 13

The Writers. The enigmatic and reclusive Writers of all the scripts that Studio 13 producers have never been seen by anyone (with the possible exception of 'Igor' below), or at least anyone who will admit to it. They hold some kind of mystical aura for the community of Studio 13, so much so that no one seems to be able to even talk about the Writers without seeming to actually pronounce the italics. It's weird. They have been known to take subtle and ironic revenge on the characters whose actors improvise too much. Those who cross the Writers have their characters written out of the show, in a permanent and often messy fashion.

Igor. The long suffering and possible original Igor only has one job at Studio 13 - it is he who brings the completed scripts from the Writers to the Studio. He doesn't say much, but his groans can be quite communicative.

The Owner. An elderly man, this mad scientist, who is often mistaken on the streets as Sir Anthony Hopkins, was a director for another Hollywood studio in the 40's and acted in one movie. It was a brilliant performance, but despite the oscar and the planned sequels, he refused to ever appear on screen again. Studio 13 and its stable of actors are his life's work and he cares for them like his children. Although most realise that his actual name is Randolf Robards, he seems to quite enjoy the moniker of "The Owner" and most of the Studio's community call him that out of fondness and respect. Some have even tried to add the italics in their pronunciation like what happens whenever they say the Writers but for some reason it never quite seems to work. The Board executives tend to refer to him as 'R.R.', but he doesn't seem to like it.

The board executives. Shortly before the writers appeared at Studio 13, the owner was forced to sell public shares in the studio productions side. He lost control of that part of the studio to the corporate board (a constantly shifting group of wealthy mundane financiers). The board sometimes use their financial leverage to enforce their "improvements" on some shows. It never turns out well.

SAG - The Screen Actor's Guild. Claudia Christian. This actor is very active in the political side of the industry, and is the Guild representative for Studio 13, among many other minor Studios in this part of Hollywood. While most believe that she has no knowledge of the truth of Studio 13, some are not quite as sure...

Hollywood notables. California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. "Arnie', to his friends, knows the truth about Studio 13 and the supernatural community that it holds, having played opposite many of them throughout his career. He has made it his mission to protect the supernatural in Hollywood, and is a solid friend of the Studio. In the past this has meant that many an actor at the height of their popularity has campaigned for the 'Governator', ensuring that he has had a long and prosperous career at the helm of the state.

Christopher Lee. That's Sir Christopher Frank Carandini Lee CBE CStJ to you. Sir Lee is the Studio's most famous actor, the one that all the other supernatural community aspire to be like. He was the mundane that vampires looked to to learn how to BE a vampire. Most of the Studio believe that his 'death' in 2015 was merely a ruse to allow him to go undercover and continue being completely awesome.

Leonard Maltin. A Hollywood film critic who publishes as "The Rotten Tomato". He seems to be in the Studio's corner when it comes to most reviews, although he is known for being brutally honest when he perceives a failure in the making. He does not know the truth about the Studio.

Karen Lovell. Ms Lovell is the paparazzi photographer with the largest beef against Studio 13 - although no one is quite sure what ticked her off in the first place. Either way, she seems to have made it her life's mission to destroy the career of each and every actor in the Studio. She is rumoured to have blackmail material photos on a number of big name stars, to be released if anything happens to her. Whatever the reason, word from on high is to avoid this person.
