STUDIO 13 - Supernatural Races

Each character is a supernatural being from one a several known races. There are other known supernatural races (cough*demons*cough), but they are not suitable for PCs.

The supernatural races are common in movies. All supernaturals are vulnerable to silver. You do not have a reflection in silvered mirrors and you don't show up on old silver based film. Contact with silver prevents you from using magic or any other supernatural powers (this includes carrying it with you). You also take double damage from silver weapons, and if you are bound with silver, you are powerless to free yourself.

Some supernaturals (werewolves, vampires, etc) can embrace or turn humans into new supernaturals of their type. This is a pretty rare ability, mostly known only to the head of the various groups (prince of the vampire court, alpha of the Werewolf pack, etc). Most supernaturals are either born as supernaturals or turned from human, though some like mummys and vampires can only be turned, and others like frankensteins where never human (though they may be made from bits of a few). Monster however, where never human. Some supernatural races can breed with humans (werewolves, catfolk, mad scientists, witches), but none can breed with each other. Any mad scientist trying to create such a hybrid would just end up creating a new frankenstein creation.
